Mumbai to introduce India’s first Water Taxi service from January 2022

Mumbai: New waterway transportation solution is to be launched in Mumbai, these water taxi services will be formally launched in January, but the dates are being finalized. 

West Coast Marine and Infinity Harbour Services LLP will be the two service operators.

Two service points would be the Domestic Cruise Terminal (DCT) at Ferry Wharf and International Cruise Terminal (ICT) at Ballard Pier. The government is working on different routes from DCT to Nerul, Vashi, Belapur, Airoli, Rewas, Karanja, Kanhoji Angre Island, Dharamtar, Karanja, and Thane. One more route from ICT will be Elephanta Caves, one of the popular tourist spots in Mumbai.  

This water taxi service will be an alternative for commuters traveling from Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. It will take 30 mins to complete a single journey.
