Cowin COVID-19 Vaccination: How to Register Online & Scheduled Appointment

As Vaccination in India for Covid-19 is started for the general public, the second phase of the vaccination is also started. The vaccine drive is currently open for senior citizens age over 60 and also for people who are suffering from comorbidities and are above the age of 45. 

Here’s a step-by-step guide about how to register for Cowin”?

 

Step 1- Citizens can register by logging in “ www.cowin.gov.in

Step 2- Enter the current mobile number to receive an OTP via SMS for verification 

Step 3- Enter the OTP received on your mobile. 

Step 4- After entering OTP click on verify button below. 

How to book a Vaccine appointment?

 

Step 1- After the registration is done on the portal a new page will appear for Vaccine Registration.

Step 2- On this page, you will have to fill in the necessary details such as Number, name, date of birth, Photo ID type, Photo ID Proof, etc. 

Step 3- Then click on the register button.

Step 4- You will receive the necessary details via SMS.

 

One can also add 3 more people linked with the same mobile number by clicking, “ add more” button at the bottom right. One will have to add a similar detail for other people to register them.

 

How to schedule an appointment?

 

An appointment can be scheduled on the Account Details Page.

 

Step 1- Click on the calendar icon place in front of every user or one can directly click on the schedule appointment button. 

 

Step 2- It will then redirect you to Book an Appointment for Vaccination Page, one can select the State, district, and Pincode accordingly. 

 

Step 3- Click on the center name and it will show the available slot of date and capacity. 

 

Step 4- Click on the book button.

 

Step 5- Check all the details again and click the confirmation button.

 

COVID-19 Vaccine registration can also be done through AAROGYA SETU APP, a step-by-step guide for registration.

 

Step 1- Download the aarogya setu app if not downloaded already. Make sure the app is updated and correctly displays your Covid status.

Step 2- Open the app, on the top right corner there is an option of COWIN tap on it. 

Step 3- After clicking on Covin, tap on Vaccination (login/registration) among the four given options. 

 

Step 4- Enter the mobile number and enter the OTP for verification. 

Step 5- Fill in the necessary details such as age, gender, ID Proofs which you will bring to the vaccination center. 

 

 

 

Step 6- You will have to provide proof of eligibility, citizens above age 60 are eligible and those within the age group 45-59 will have to upload a medical certificate to prove their comorbidity. 

Step 7- Select the covid vaccination center by state, district, Pincode, date, and availability. Click on the “book” option to proceed. 

Step 8- You will receive an SMS on your registered mobile number with appointment details.
